Do you struggle with guilt if you’re not able to meet alone every day for one hour with God? Those feelings of guilt are not from God. They’re from Satan.
God wants to encourage you to meet with Him each day because He loves you and delights in spending time with you. Satan tries to condemn you each day it doesn’t work out because he wants to destroy your desire to have a relationship with your Father.
Here’s what to do to battle the guilt. Keep a Bible by your bed. If suddenly it’s bedtime and you realize you didn’t have time to meet yet with God, just open your Bible. Read an encouraging or favorite verse. Then go to bed.
As you’re falling asleep, think about that verse. Talk with God about it. Then consider your schedule for tomorrow. Instead of feeling guilty about today, plan a time for tomorrow to meet one hour with God.
