When God created the world, He designed a certain daily economy. People and animals need to eat…every day. We need to sleep…every day. We need water…every day. Dew refreshes the earth…every morning. The sun rises…every morning. The stars shine…every night.
I don’t know why this is so, but it is. In God’s great wisdom, He established it and it is so. Even when He sent manna to the Israelites in the wilderness, they had to gather it every day. When Jesus taught us to pray, He said, “Give us this day our daily bread.” God’s mercies are new every morning. Kingdom Economy.
Meeting with God is part of His Kingdom Economy. He designed us to need to meet with Him every day. How can we know this? Because in the Garden of Eden, where everything was perfect, God came and walked with Adam and Eve each evening.
Until one evening, God came and Adam and Eve weren’t there. He was there. He called their names. But they didn’t show up. Sin had entered their hearts.
I’ve heard it speculated that if Adam and Eve had just showed up to meet with God that day, and repented and confessed their sin, we might still be in the Garden of Eden today.
But they didn’t and the world was never the same.
God is here beside you waiting. He’s inviting you to meet with Him today. He’s calling your name…can you hear Him? Come! Meet with Him one hour today…and tomorrow…and the next! Enjoy the rewards of God’s daily Kingdom Economy.
